Thursday 30 August 2012: Clarendon Place
As I arrived at the bank this morning, I decided to take this shot of 2 buildings that have managed to survive in the changing face of Glasgow.
These impressive buildings are located at the corner of Great Western Road and St. George's Road.
The building on the left was planned as a prestigious symmetrical development between 1839-41, not unlike Waterloo Place in Edinburgh. Only Clarendon Place was built.
