Northern Exposure

Mid-day at Mid-Winter

How lucky am I? I don't even need to leave the house to catch blips like this. It wasn't actually as dark and brooding as this but it wasn't far off and the camera decided to add some drama.

I did venture out briefly to feed the birds and gather some greenery for the guinea pigs from the veg garden (where things are stirring). It's cold out there but not so cold that I couldn't wander about for half an hour without a jacket. We seem to be missing the frosts and fog those further south are enjoying. Which is good in some respects but it would be nice to have some glittery frosts and snow before we have to worry about going anywhere in it.

Apart from that we have been working on our hibernation techniques and exploring the winter survival capacity of chocolate in many forms. So far so good.
