Tartan Heather - a handweaver

Tartan Heather is a handweaver and singer from the West Coast of Scotland. She sits in the Royal Mile and usually sings while she hand weaves. Today she wasn't singing because there were some horrible roadwork noises that didn't allow her voice to be heard. A rather pleasant woman when you talk to her, in spite of her agressive looks, but not one to mess about with, I would think! She does stand out from the crowd!

I was not sure whether to choose the colour or black and white version of this shot, but I finally decided for the mono one.

It's been a busy, hectic and rather stressful day at work and I'm glad it's over. The festival may have finished but the tourists are still there. They may want to stay until the fireworks display on Sunday.

Not much more to report really. Tired and relaxing now with a glass of wine. Back to work tomorrow!
