Across Roaring Water Bay

Today was one of those days when you really wouldn't want to live any where else in the world, the sun shone all day and the light was so wonderful for capturing the timeless beauty of Cape Clear Island. I took an early walk exploring the south side of the harbour, returning to meet the ferry and friends Ilana and Gilad who were over for the day. We all set of for another walk to the east of the Island, where the view across to Sherkin Island was breathtaking. It was only last April that I had sat with earthdreamer on those cliffs on Sherkin looking across to Cape Clear, that was a sunny spring day! The views along the coast were stunning, my blip is looking over the typical island landscape here to Roaring Water Bay and Hare Island and in the other direction we could see out across the Atlantic to the far end of the Mizen peninsular.
Time now for the Grand Finale, wonderful performances by all four story telling guests a really wonderful two hours of entertainment. Out last walk down the steep road to the harbour gave us an amazing views across a silvery sea to the Fastnet Lighthouse, then it was the ferry home, another stunning trip, a different route through the Calf Islands, Horse Island and Castle Island, sadly all the Islands have many ruins on them. Our ferryman gave us a very informative narrative and as Schull harbour came into view, he played the accordian and sung us some songs, a fabulous ending to a wonderful weekend!
I have backblipped an image for yesterday if yo are interested.
