Islington Murals

I grew up in the west end of Toronto just a little north of the village of Islington. We visited it today and noticed numerous wall murals on the buildings , apparently part of a project started a few years ago depicting scenes from historical Islington. The murals are gorgeous. This one represents a house built in the 1840's and owned by the Montgomery Family who also ran the Montgomery Inn. The house was torn down in 1989 by developers and townhouses now stand there. The title of the mural is Briarly , Gone but Not forgotten! Will have to come back to show you more of these beautiful murals!

More murals and information about them can be found here.
