Guess What This Is

Hint -- it's edible, a very healthy snack, and the main (almost the only) ingredient can be harvested for free.

It's a thin wafer of roasted and seasoned seaweed. The other ingredients are corn oil, sesame oil, perilla oil, and salt. Cynthia wouldn't even taste it, but I found it delicious. It's very likely laver*, which I remember eating in Wales, where it's boiled down into a dark greenish black mush called laverbread.

The 5g portion in the package provides 20% of the average daily vitamin C requirement. Too bad the limeys didn't know about this stuff.

*Wikipedia says that laver is "an edible algae often considered to be a seaweed".
