Classic Monsoon Wall Of Rain!!

Look at the delineation of where it is raining and where it is not.

That is classic monsoon. Sometimes we see virgas, which do not reach the ground. This is not a virga because it is does.

I saw it all around me as I drove home from Tucson this afternoon. It was happening to my right, in front of me and to my left. Behind me - the sun was shining. That's where I got some really pretty pictures of flowers, that I chose not to post, because I thought this was awesome.

Of course, I almost killed myself taking pictures as I drove and it could have been better with my zoom lens. But it was bad enough shooting while driving. I wasn't going to change lens while driving, too. :-)
