Day 9 - Universal, the Return

We did some homework and decided not to do Magic Kingdom today as all forums and websites say how much busier it is at the weekend, so we chose to finish Universal today. We had a fabulous day, taking our time, wandering and catching all the studio rides and shows. And yes, did the Escape from Gringotts again. Definitely the best so far. Last time we were here it was the ET ride that blew us away, but 30 years on it was not so impressive.

The temperature was mid 90s again, after the somewhat milder day of 88 yesterday. Every time I think of the temperatures, I wonder how I haven't died! Knowing how easily I burn I have stuck to the factor 50 for the first week, but bought some 30 today to aim for maybe a healthy pink glow ready for the wedding. Brother and his intended now in Florida too but not sure if we will get to meet up before the big day. He comes out here often, but we still have the Magic Kingdom, Busch Gardens and Aquatica to fit in as well as shopping for gifts for the girls!

Went to Chillis for dinner and I chose a healthy salad. This is such a joke, all the calories are listed in every restaurant and the salad was over 1000!!

Earlyish night tonight as up early tomorrow and also my ankles are swelling. They look like tree trunks. No idea if this is due to the heat or amount of walking.

As my defend photos are all on the canon and won't be uploaded until we are home, these photos are cell phone snaps. This one taken for the girls who love the Simpsons and will be visiting themselves in July.
