A Day Worth Recording

RaDAR

The little car we keep for the teenagers to learn on, lovingly known as 'the go-kart' needed it's MOT. Since our local garage stopped doing them I've driven it over to Teversham - the otherwise very traditional village garage there has an online booking service which is so easy to use it's unreal.

The testing takes an hour so I went for a wander with the camera. I've prettier shots than this, of Teversham church, but this shot of Cambridge Airport Radar antenna brings back memories of my first job after Uni - with Marconi Radar - and the occasional trips to Southend Airfield to do various test on the radar system there.

Long list of jobs achieved today, which is good but unfortunately it's meant spending too long at the computer when it's glorious weather outside. Friends arriving now for games - so TTFN

For fellow CDO sufferers, it being "Radio Detection And Ranging" I feel it ought to have a lower case first 'A'.
