Bride and Groom

Woke very early and took a walk around this stunningly beautiful, historic center of learning, I really was in awe at the skill of those stone masons. Breakfast in the college refectory felt a bit like the begining of term at Hogwarts! The wedding was in the Gonville Caius college chapel, quite a small but formal affair. The bride Arina is from Belarus and very few of her family spoke English. The groom Jack, Rosie and Rachel's brother from their Dad's first marriage is a really lovely young man, I rather surprised myself as I found the ceremony really moving, maybe partly to do with being included in this extended family for the first occasion, on previous weddings and funerals just the girls have gone. We did laugh about the complex family situation, the girls Dad has six children with three different women, maybe it was just as well, we didn't have to explain that to Arina's family!
A wonderful lunch was enjoyed by all, then an evening of tango dancing, apparently Jack and Arina met at a Tango class, when they were students at Cambridge. By the end of the evening we had all had a try and it was a lot of fun!
