Woodpecker

The last time I blipped this male woodpecker I said to one of my followers that I wanted a more natural shot of him. Although the family visit the nut feeder everyday I have been resisting blipping the shots until I got this one.

So how did I get a "natural" shot? Did I plant a tree 2 metres from my lounge window? See Extra of the juvenile for the answer!

I was glad to see another juvenile has survived, I found a dead one in the garden yesterday.

In other news I had a nasty fall down at the lake today which has left me with a very sore thigh muscle and a very bruised arm! Thankfully my glasses survived the impact and I had already put my camera down!
