Over The Sea From Skye

Six of us left the island to visit Plockton (home of Hamish Mcbeth).

The weather was tipping down so we headed into a pub for a coffee/pint.
There was a pool table in there, so of course we had to have a game.
What a fantastic laugh that was. After the one local in the place had finished his lunch he left ........ in disgust we thought. But he came back with a mate. We think it was as a witness to how badly we were playing because nobody would have believed him otherwise.

Mid afternoon we headed down to Eilean Donan Castle to meet the Castle Keeper who had organised the photographic exhibition/competition which is running and three of us have pictures in.
He is a hell of a nice guy.
He even let us in to the castle free of charge.
The rain was amazing and made the pictures I took look almost monochrome but helped show how fast the tide runs in the loch.
The fisheye was great for getting pictures out of the tiny little windows.

Heading back up the road the light over the Skye Bridge was fantastic and SWMBO and I had to stop for a couple of pictures.
One of the other couples stopped behind us and she had just been stung twice in the neck and once in the hand.
She got plenty sympathy - but no help until pictures had been taken ............. then our first aid kits were dug out and she was given some cream to counteract the stings.
Of course, when we all met up for a meal at the super Indian in Kyleakin she was 'forced' to ask for vinegar and a brandy ...... one for the sting and the other for medicinal purposes.
My how we all laughed (again).
