Holzhacker

Today was a public holiday and there were many activities around the area. In the morning i kept a girlfriend company for a couple of hours at a flea market then Hubby and i drove to aWood chopping event. I remember watching the wood chopping on TV with my father when I was a kid and also at the Royal Melbourne Show. There was more chain saw action than axe cutting but it was an interesting event. The man in the blip sending a slice of wood flying was one half of the winning team. It was a glorious sunny day but the seats were in the shade and quite close to the action. There was also a parade of Oldtimers - mopeds, tractors and sedans.
A troup of Schuhplattler (slap dancers in english) performed at intervals as well.  There was also a bosom judging event with members from the audience -   'Only in Austria'  See first photo on Flickr
