Responsibility

Chris and I yomped up to Lidl with the boys on their balance bikes earlier. Each of them locked their bikes up and took responsibility for their own keys. They knew how to unlock and then use the chain properly. Nurture, quality instruction and positive reinforcement - they get it in bucketloads and it's clear to see.

Been busy with the boys. Took a trip into town, did a bit of shopping and then came back. D had completely crashed out on the tram so I carried him back to the house - goodness me, a small child turns quite weighty when they are fast asleep!

Barbecue for tea. Lovely chats and good company.

Been reminded this evening that friendship is so important and that time and distance doesn't matter, it's the act of listening and offering support that matters most.
