Logs

During the big snowstorm the biggest bough on the fir trees snapped with the weight of the snow. My son trimmed it and sawed it into logs. He stacked them in a sunny shed to dry out for next winter's use.

A busy day in the garden. I finally sowed my tomato seeds, weeks late. I also prepared big containers and planted spinach, pak chi and lettuce plants I bought yesterday. Soon all my greens in the greenhouse will have to be cleared and I'm hoping these portable greens will fill the gap before the garden is ready to plant. They can be moved to sunny and sheltered positions, or taken into the greenhouse if when we have another cold snap.
