Edinburgh College

Today is the vesting day for two big new merged educational establishments in Scotland - SRUC (which I blipped on Thursday) and Edinburgh College whose reception I am attending tonight and for whom I attended a photocall with lots of students and staff on top of Calton Hill this morning.

Many courses were represented including those training dental technicians and vetinary assistants (as well as surveyors, engineers, child care workers, front of house staff, beauty therapists and lots of others including those most distant from the labour market for whom colleges provide a wonderful next step).

The big teeth and the practice dog were there to demonstrate the sheer range of possibilites and opportunities.
