The first anniversary of the merged Edinburgh College was celebrated in the Scottish Parliament tonight at an event hosted by Labour MSP & new Shadow Education Minister Kezia Dugdale & SNP MSP for Midlothian , Colin Beattie who is a member of the Parliament's Education Committee.

Mandy Exley the Principal - pictured above - addressed those present as did Iain McKay the Board Chair and myself.

She told me afterwards about the new hash tag for the College which I have used as the title for the blip and which came out of a challenge I gave to the sector to find new ways to talk about what they did and what learners might expect.
