Dolcezza Della Vita

59...

I only got 3 hours of sleep last night, but wow, I feel refreshed. I was so exhausted after the Celtics game, we just wore ourselves out. Trying to stay healthy and not eat bad or drink...do my yoga. Working so far. Travel can really wear you out...

Cold definitely came into Boston overnight. Brutal this morning. Went into the office and held our meetings. Went very very well. I am only going on half of the trips...I wish I could go on all of them - but that would put me at 2 trips a week, instead of one. That would be too much - I would not get anything done. And I have faith in the people rolling my program out, they do a great job.

Had two hours before the flight took off - Phil and I went downtown to just drive around, maybe catch lunch. Decided to go to one of my favorite seafood restaurants - No Name Restaurant right by the water. I had their famous seafood chowder and a lobster salad. Phil had chowder and a lobster/scallop dish...we didnt say a word while we ate, it was that good. Definitely a hole in the wall type of place, its on the fish pier, but best damn lobster you've ever had.

We wondered around the Boston Public Garden...I had to get my picture taken on the Duck. It's an inside joke with my company...has become somewhat of a tradition, that when we go to Boston, we ride the duck...hence the cheeky smile ;)

The other shot is of my Engineering Specialist, Phil. I don't think I've blipped him before. He kept fake smiling for photos, so I just made him laugh, finally got a real smile out of him! Thats one of the reasons why I don't do portrait shots...I can't stand fake smiles! Phil and I get along well - both started with the company at the same time. He is so funny. Really a great family guy - has 4 kids...wonderful wife. He is lucky. Phil is so smart. He is the manager of 18 or so guys that represent the backbone of my program.

Back home...they were not kidding about the cold. Horrible. The shuttle bus from the airport to the parking area slid a few times on the road. The gentleman was kind enough to brush about 7 inches of snow off of my car...it would have taken me forever. Took a while to drive home - roads are still horrible. Major schools are closed tomorrow...temps will get down to negative 20's. Joy.

Besides the cold, I'm still excited about going to NYC Saturday and Sunday!
