Ettaler Manndl

The weather forecast suggested that the morning would be fine so we had stayed the night at Oberammergau hoping to get up the spectacular little spire of the Ettaler Manndl. We got up and used the old-fashioned Laber cable car to get to the high point of the hill. The views were magnificent with great views in all directions, although we could see the front in the west. The extra is a panorama from the top looking towards the Zugspitze and the main blip is the spire of the Ettaler Manndl. This spire is steep but there is an easy klettersteig leading to the top. We were up and down just before the promised rain arrived. Here’s a video to give you a flavour of the climb. When we were there we were on our own.
