Horizontal Rain

Just an iPhone picture, but of something I never saw before.

I got stranded in my beetle because of heavy rains, but thats not so special in Holland.
What made this different is that there was a gale accompanying it and the resulted in rain that was falling almost horizontal instead of vertical.

And I could registrate that on my windshield.

Irony: today october 7th I visited an Art Fair called Arti 2012 and I saw a painting of raindrops on a windscreen as art and it looked pretty similar but this is more extreme.
