Head over heels

Decided on a whim to pop into the duck ponds - haven't been down there for a very long time and whilst there are a few changes in the landscape, the birds are just the same.  As soon as I emerged from my car a wee flush of ducks began waddling towards me in the hope, no doubt, of a crust or two.  They were out of luck.

This Paradise Duck was making quite a show of preening himself, showing off all his fancy tail feathers and almost going head over heels in an effort to get to his underside!  

It was lovely to be able to just relax and watch :)
