Beauty and decay

Autumn is so beautiful! Even on a day like today, with all sorts of weather, from rain and wind to sunshine and calm. Temperatures were around +6-8°C and 2 mm rain had fallen since yesterday.

This ivy-leaved Cyclamen is a real eye-catcher. It will go on flowering until the heavy frosts come. We also have four different Colchicums flowering at the moment.

We got loads of stuff done today. M took care of the tulip bulbs that will flower in the veggie plot next spring, did the wash-up and put away the garden hoses. Z continued to empty the compost, prepared a new border, moved some perennials and sowed some seeds.
