First snow of ..?

I was on Bute this morning for meetings and it was wet until after eleven.

A little bit later, having coffee in the Post Office in Port Bannatyne, I noticed that the clearing rain band had left a dusting of snow on the tops of the hills above Loch Striven - the first snow of winter, I suppose, but I would have rather regarded it as an autumn aberration , even if there have been a few frosty mornings in the last week or so.

Anyway, by the time I had got to Colintraive it had all disappeared - or so I thought until , on the road to Dunoon I caught this glimpse of the hills beside Loch Eck.

More than a dusting and definitely wintery.
