A 'real' walk up the road!!!

The temps here are crazy....today it has been +6 most of the day, and overnight it rained so a lot of the snow has disappeared (see extra).    Meant that the road was clear of ice and snow, so Terry and i went out for a walk!  my first time out for a 'real' walk, without cane or any other support!   Felt pretty good, altho after about half hour i started feeling a bit tired or sore...or perhaps it was just in my head!  but was happy to know that i could do a 45 minute walk, without pain, just a bit of stiffness and still a bit of an uneven gait!

In other news....we've booked our flights to Costa Rica!   March 16-30th.   Was feeling very overwhelmed at the idea of having to create our whole agenda on our own, without the assurance of a package deal!   Got in touch with a couple of folks (thro facebook) who are there right now and they have been incredibly helpful, with lots of information.  It is a bit daunting traveling to a place you have never been to, don't speak the language....etc.   but i understand that because tourism is so strong there now, most people can speak english!   anyway, getting a bit excited.  the main feeling we get from others is that Costa Rica is a very tourist friendly place and safe!  so now to figure out where to spend our time!!!
