Pied Stilts

Status: Native

A couple of Pied Stilts feeding in the morning light, probing for molluscs and crustaceans. They are common, protected and are found widespread throughout NZ on inland and coastal waterways.

Still practising my bird shots, a bit hit and miss and sometimes getting lucky - you know how it is :)

After a wander at the estuary I helped Mum hang some new curtains in her house, shes really pleased with the  'new' look. Then home to getting in my washing, folding it, thinking about tea tonight and generally enjoying a fine, warm evening - a great day.
