Nicky and her Nikon

In a snowy garden

We woke up to a white garden - I could not believe how much snow had fallen overnight. It was also very cold and when Gavin and I went out to walk Murdoch it did not last as long as we had planned, as it was too cold. We came across a paddock with some horses in it and the poor things looked hungry, they came rushing up to us in the hope that we had some food and when they saw we didn't they resorted to pawing the ground trying to uncover some grass - their water was also frozen so they had nothing to drink. I have added an extra of Murdoch in the snow but he was not relaxed as the horses were standing nearby and he was a bit frightened of them.

I made a lamb tagine for lunch which we ate quite late as everyone else had eaten breakfast so late. Now Adam and Jenni are getting ready to go back to Cambridge and it has just started snowing again, so I will worry until they get there as everyone knows what the UK roads are like in the snow. I took one last photo of them as I won't see them again until Easter Sunday evening. Adam has another week in the lab on his project (something to do with the bio-chemistry of the cells that carry sleeping sickness) and then has to write it all up.

I hope the snow disappears and spring comes back again - this is getting ridiculous now, it is late March and it feels like the middle of winter. It is a short week ahead as Thomas breaks up on Wednesday for the Easter holidays, and we are meeting up with Luke in Switzerland on Thursday to celebrate his birthday, which is on Tuesday.
