The fallen

This is the best I could do today, the fallen leaves.

I am a bit distracted, thinking of Hurricane Sandy; my niece is on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, they have not evacuated, and the hurricane will be on them at present. Already there has been a washover from the ocean to the sound!

They didn't evacuate with Hurricane Irene, they went into their loft with as much of their stuff as they could. The house stood, but was wrecked, and it was six months before they could get back into it. I hope this is not the same scenario. Also thinking of my friends in Cape May, NJ, who have not evacuated either, but are right in the line of the hurricane.

I guess our weather is not so bad!!!!
