Perfection

Today was the day that the Alpine Garden Society show circuit came to town.  Our annual turn at hosting this colourful event was a happy and successful day with a good turnout of both plants and people.  I was busy with the entries/results computer this morning but was able to enjoy some free time later, catching up with a number of old friends .... oh and picking up a few new plants from the sales tables too.  Jacinta topped up my purchases with a few extra as an early Birthday present :-)

Perhaps my favourite plant was this Daphne petraea 'Persebee' an outstanding example of it's kind.  A slow growing species, found on rocky hillsides above Lake Garda and in the surrounding area, this plant was in perfect condition.  (It's not my plant sadly!)
