The Last Tulip

This lovely tulip held on long after its companions had faded, but it has succumbed to the cold wet weather. It was a bit of a shock to me too. I've had to put on an extra three layers of clothing.

It is very worrying because we might get frosts. Last year the Iona grapevine in the greenhouse was devastated at the same stage it is at now. I have covered both grapevines, and put extra layers over the tomato plants which are still in their pots and huddled together for easy covering.
