Las Ramblas, Barcelona

Yes today we are in yet another country and in a city that wants it's independence, or at least by some.

First we took in the magnificent if not finished Sagrada Familia, I'd already been in this cray creation so wasn't planning on going in again, even if I did we couldn't because all the day tickets had sold out.

We then had a good walk up to Park Guell to experience the wonderfully designed and built gardens by Guadi. It was hot and hard going but the reward was worth it.

It's been 4 years since I was last here and I was a little disappointed with how much work is going on in the grounds at the moment but I suppose it has to be done.

After taking in the views of the park, having an ice cream and visiting a tourist shop we headed down to La Rambla for a drink. This is the lively part of Barcelona for tourists and Spaniards to buy their wears.
