Cool Light

A mostly overcast day but at times the cool light highlighted some of the more subtly coloured flowers.  There are several white or cream silver saxifrages in flower at present, arching sprays of many delicate looking flowers.  They're called 'silver' saxes because of the lime encrusted leaves and the flowers are actually surprisingly tough and long lasting.

A day of many parts thankfully including a few garden jobs.  Always a frisson of pleasure when take cuttings from special plants, anticipating the new plants to come.  Jamie's planted out courgette and pumpkin plants into recently prepared beds in the garden.  Really nice to share my passion for growing things with him .... even if he does want to eat the results :-)
