Cyclamen cyprium

Captured in the early morning light.

Native to Cyprus, and only found there. Rather like a refined version of the common Cyclamen hederfolium, this plant is perhaps less hardy. Grown here under cold glass, it reliably produces these delicately marked white flowers in late Autumn. An added bonus, they are sweetly scented.

The crocus were doubtless looking great in the mid-day sunshine but I was trapped at work due to someone else's sick day :(
