Today’s Lesson: Rain

A soggy day on the Fringe - we got soaked multiple times but it’s all part of the fun. Made all the more delightful by this fabulous little one who was completely entranced by the feeling of the raindrops on her skin. Racing back and forth with glee, trying to catch the fat drops and tilting her chin up to the sky to experience the water falling on her face. What joy.

Visited the excellent “takeover tent” at the Book Festival shop by the wondrous Glasgow Women’s Library and just had to buy some of their brilliant merchandise - which will no doubt be the subject of a Blip in the not so distant future.

And then to see Loki, the Scottish Rapper, in his Poverty Safari stand up show. Performance poetry, rap, monologue all combined.

I’m still processing to be honest - but it was visceral, confrontational, eloquent and deeply moving. I cried and I’m still not sure I can put into words why... a must see if you get the chance.
