The Cross

We drove about fifteen minutes to La Roche Posay (Loire Valley, France) for a walk around this Romanesque town with comanding church (Church of Notre Dame) overlooking the River Creuse. The extra shows the interior.


We needed to stock up on some wine, beer, baguettes and fillings so we drove along the D750 to Descartes for the Supermarche. I saw this striking cross next to a sunflower field at La Guerche and had to stop for a photo. Sm many crosses and monuments at field edges I suspect they are the sites of World War battlefields. I'll have to check.
