Houses on the pond

The pond in downtown Reykjavik is almost completely frozen, which is probably why the reflections in the water of the lovely colourful houses are so clear.

It was a nice day, the pavements were icy, but fortunately we managed to avoid slipping., mainly since I have 'crampons' on my shoes. Ever since I broke my ankle slipping on the ice 2 years ago, I have become very neurotic and cautious at the first sight of ice.
