Sheffield

I've had a very long, cold day in Sheffield today but in good company. Tony is in the Lake District on the Juniors Weekend at Hawkshead Youth Hostel and Tomas and Bara have returned to Leeds before Tomas has to return to Czech tomorrow. So I set off before dawn on the train to Sheffield for the final urban orienteering event of the NOPE league. The Sheffield students always like to stage a double header with a Prologue Race which took us round the Hallam campus buildings followed a couple of hours later by a Chasing Sprint, based on the finish times from the first event, around the Park Area which is made up of monolithic, mainly derelict flats and the Victoria Quays. In between races it was too cold to hang around outside so Heather, Simon and I went to the Art Studio Cafe for some lunch and to browse the lovely things on sale in their shop. No idea of how I have done yet!
