Walnuts

Today's the day ............................ to crack nuts

The shops are full of all sorts of nuts just now in preparation for Christmas time. I can't resist buying walnuts to have in the house - but they are always a bit of a disappointment.

You see, once you have been to the walnut growing area in the south-east of France and tasted proper fresh walnuts straight from the shell, everything else is going pale into insignificance ......................
