Physconia distorta is one of the most beautiful lichens I know. It grows on tree trunks of deciduous trees such as elms, maples or poplars. In this case it's a Norway Maple, Acer platanoides.

M has been a real kitchen hero all day today, preparing loads and loads of food to fill up mum's freezer and make life easier for her!
