Thursday 12 February 2009: Beauty is in the details

Physconia distorta is one of the most beautiful lichens I know. It grows on tree trunks of deciduous trees such as elms, maples or poplars. In this case it's a Norway Maple, Acer platanoides.

Today was partly cloudy, partly sunny and not too cold. It seems the winter is here to stay for a while - and I quite like that!

M has been a real kitchen hero all day today, preparing loads and loads of food to fill up mum's freezer and make life easier for her!

One year ago: One of our best blips?

Cheers!/Z
