River

Today was one of those days where mother nature helped with blipping. As I was getting dressed, I looked out the window and pondered what to blip. The first thing I noticed was this mist everwhere and my first thought was "this should make a great effect for today's blip". Surprisingly, Mrs TMG, who often views blip as a competing love interest, even said "you should go out and photograph something in this weather."

I took my usual detour trying to find a shot to highlight the rapidly disappearing mist. I took many shots and ended up with this one. Ironically, I have blipped this same stream before but from a different perspective. It is a testament to experience that I chose a completely different perspective which I think dramatically improves the shot.

There is a funny story around this. To get this shot, I had to navigate through trees and ankle deep snow in my work gear. I was running late and so I shot this last batch quickly then jumped into the car and drove to work. When I arrived, I noticed that I was getting strange looks from people. I was not sure what was going on until someone asked me what was on my sweater. I went into the bathroom only to find myself covered with bits of bark and pine needles. Aaaahhhh, such is the life of an intrepid blipper!

No Photoshopping here, just basic saturation, contrast and white balance
