Dahlia nova (for Maggie D)

Miniature Dahlias flourishing inside at the moment.

Up and out by 10am this morning - the first day of my 16 days home alone.

A wet day with a cruel Antarctic wind biting at the marrow. So much for the first day of summer - and MD's birthday.

Ventured to the Farmers Market to buy in a few supplies and pay for the happy Christmas ham. I am going to cook it myself this year. I may give it the Nigella Lawson treatment!

Rest of day spent pottering and revelling in being home alone.
