Bring on another generator!

Another of our increasingly garish installations lights up the night sky. Ok, so I can't be all humbug about it but with barely more than a decade to sort out the climate it does appear a tad excessive. But beautiful too, I guess. I like the way the rain on the branches of the trees reflects the colours.

A busy day with Janet nipping off to the dentist while I pottered around the house, and this afternoon was taken up by a long meeting with the local authority, discussing what the community might need in the event we actually do have to more than double in size. Well, pretty much double everything was my start point.

Except that I found out we have historically had less community or public open space and less recreational provision per head than current policies require... so more than double everything please! It turns out if/when there is a new community centre built, the Parish Council will have first options on managing it, which put a lot of ideas on to the table...

As for poor Janet, the dentist found no serious cracks or faults in her teeth - which is nice because it probably discounts any major root canal work - and suggested further investigations - which isn't fun since she's still in agony, and all the control options have failed. I hope nobody puts a sixpence in the pudding this year...

We are only 101 Dalmatians days away from Brexit, folks. Surely, if there really is a Father Christmas... I mean, 2,500 troops on standby??? 140,000 letters of advice (anyone remember "Protect and Survive"?)??? And two billion Pounds just for contingency! Can not our politicians see the wood for the trees tax loopholes?

We live in mad times, people. Take photo's. Historians of the future won't credit this without evidence.
