Rudolph on Christmas Eve

Busy day so far: a quick last shop - including MORE carrots! Made carrot, ginger and coriander soup (and discovered the grandpiggies love coriander!). Then baked a carrot cake (as our Christmas cake). Finally, cleaned the kitchen floor so that it's sparkling ready for the piggies to have a run later.

We're enjoying temperatures several degrees warmer than the rest of the country, even if it is somewhat cloudy. Still have carrots left for tomorrow's dinner and even one for Rudolph. (Though judging by the pile of prezzies under the tree, I suspect Father Christmas has been and gone already!)
