I've been in Brussels attending the Justice day of the JHA.

From July to December this year its been Cyprus' turn to assume the Presidency and, as is customary, the Presidency chooses some artwork for the Commission building for the 6 month period. The Cypriots chose this strange criss-cross ribbon hammock-like installation which spanned the whole of the overhead space but which did not do anything for me at all!
depending on how you looked at it it took on a weird Escher-like effect which was a little disorientating.

In January, the Presidency passes to Ireland. I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with :-)
