Christmas Tree?

Hmm. This is the 'tree' in situ in Brussel's Grand Place. It flashes from colour to colour as does the building behind it & for me the jury is out - though it's fair to say that it creates a very striking effect. All of the small streets round about host a Christmas market which is a rather more traditional affair.

I've been to Brussels quite often and Thursday night was the first time I've managed to get out of the European district. I've always wanted to see the Grand Place - but I'm not entirely sure I've seen it yet!
