Mincies

Living here in the land of Stollen, mincepies are impossible to find, but Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without them, so I have to dust off my inner domestic goddess and make my own.
Of course mince meat is also impossible to find so first of all that has to be made, the pastry is shop bought though.
These particular mincies are headed to Jas's school this afternoon, I love watching the Germans' faces when I explain that they're called mincepies, because those that can speak English are surprised that savoury mince is coated in a dusting of icing sugar, so much is lost in translation, tee hee.
