Telford Door

Thomas Telford is well known for his career as a Civil Engineer, building bridges.
This doorway is said to have been made by him during his apprenticeship as a mason.

It stands by the main street in Langholm, near the library which he endowed along with another in Westerkirk, northwest of the town, where he lived from the age of three months.

Clearly there is much to be learned about Telford in this area and one day we'll follow the trail guide to learn more about this incredible man.
