today is my mother's birthday. there is nothing i can say here that will do that justice, but she is a great lady all the same and it will be good to see her in a couple days.

one of my very favorite things in the world is a good surprise, and i love surprising other people. the mail brought me a vehicle for a surprise tomorrow and though i love the mail any day of the week, i was especially excited about it this evening.
