tyler + angelica

fun little photo shoot before christmas with an old friend (tyler) who i had not seen in a couple of years. good to have a quick catch up and meet his girlfriend, angelica. we all seem to have gotten much older since the ride, with real careers, research, significant others. it's hard to think that it wasn't so long ago, but then this is that time in your life when these sort of things move fast, i suppose.

one of those great last days in austin that was just wonderful and wouldn't end in the best possible way. the "surprise" i mentioned yesterday was keith's christmas present - i got him a great bowtie, something he's been wanting for a while. they're very in right now, and since he's working at the legislature in the spring i'm sure he'll put it to good use. he was very excited about it which is my favorite part of gift-giving, truly.

just us, hanging out, tying bowties, dinner at el chile, then a long walk around an empty UT campus, sitting up high near the tower, chasing each other barefoot around buildings that feel like an old home to me these days.

there is something to be said for the effortlessness, something i had no idea existed before.
