Farmers' Market

Today's the day …………………….. for local produce

Fourth Sunday in the month, so the Farmers' Market was on today in Kirkcudbright.

The market is located within the Town Hall during the cooler months and moves to Soaperie Gardens, in the Kirkyard in the centre of the town, in the summer months.  Between 20-30 stalls take part each month with products including bread, meats, cakes, jams and preserves, smoked goods, cheeses, baked goods, honey, desserts, wines, real ales, confectionary, charcuterie, spices and locally produced crafts.

Today we bought cheese, coffee, curry spices, real ale, home-made pies and sausage rolls, a piece of glassware and two flat whites.  And we found out where we could take our apple crop (if we have one) to have them juiced.

All in all, time very well spent ……………………...
