Safely home

I saw the optician and should have blipped him as I won’t need to see him for 2 years now he says. He is not pleased with the surgeon as I no longer need contact lens or specs so he’s out of pocket. (Actually he is thrilled for me.)

Then we bought some plants in Dobbies as we waited for Katy to text they’d got their bags. It is 2 minutes drive to the airport from the garden centre. It is £2 to drive into the airport and pick up so long as you don’t take more than 10 minutes so we don’t hang about.

They look surprisingly sprightly considering they had flown Invercargill to Christchurch, Christchurch to Wellington, Wellington to Sydney, Sydney to Dubai and from there home. They have been 6 weeks in NZ as Katy’s daughter who works for DOC there was getting married.

I’ve sorted a meal out as #2 daughter and co are arriving any minute to stay the night. No doubt Thomas and James will be blipped tomorrow.

Just realised our house can be seen from Katy’s lane.
